Louise Deane MBACP. Integrative Counsellor

Supportive and confidential

We are social creatures who need and seek out relationships, but relationships can be complicated, confusing and hurtful - perhaps this is the case for you - in the past or in the present. Difficulties in or with relationships can lead to feelings of anger, stress, depression and anxiety.

Loss of relationships and bereavement create their own difficulties too.

Relationships can hurt us, but with support from an experienced impartial professional, relationship can also heal us.

Counselling can help you explore your difficulties with a professionally trained person who will listen to you, will be impartial and non-judgemental. Through increasing self awareness you will gain increasing sense of your difficulties and discover ways to manage them and experience some relief. With this growing self awareness comes increased confidence and feel more able to make changes.

We will meet to talk about your difficulties at a frequency that suits us both. Each session lasts the therapuetic hour of 50 minutes.

Counselling is not about offering advice or decisions about your difficulties, it is about exploration and thinking about choices. There is always an opportunity to review how

counselling is going for you and re-focus the work.

It is my belief that the difficulties you are facing can be relieved through counselling.

Fundamentally I will be interested in you.

My values are rooted in the person centred approach, where you will experience empathy, respect and acceptance. You will find I do not judge you; I am warm, compassionate, and will help you build trust.

Counselling does not have to be all about intensity and pain; humour can happen too, and does!
